Possible Causes

Seized convection fan motor, Worn motor bearings, Broken fan blade, Faulty fan motor wiring or connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains and wait for it to cool.

  • Access fan: Remove the rear internal panel inside the oven to expose the convection fan and blade.
  • Spin test: Try turning the fan blade by hand. If stiff, noisy, or seized, the motor is failing.
  • Inspect blade: Check for cracks or missing pieces. Replace the blade if damaged, ensuring it is balanced and secure.
  • Electrical test: From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor terminals. Measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also inspect wiring for heat damage.
  • Replace fan motor: Remove the fan blade retaining nut, detach the motor mounting screws from the rear, and install a new genuine Ariston convection fan motor. Refit the blade and internal panel.
  • Test operation: Restore power and select a fan-assisted mode to confirm the fan runs smoothly without error.
