Possible Causes
Open lower or upper heating element, Tripped or failed safety thermostat, Loose connection at mains terminal block, Faulty function selector contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before inspection.
- Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the mains terminal block for loose screws or burnt connections. Tighten and replace damaged parts.
- Test safety thermostat: Locate the safety thermostat on top of the cavity. Test for continuity; if open and non-resettable, replace it. If it has a reset button, press it firmly and re-test heating.
- Check elements: Measure resistance of lower and upper elements from the rear. Replace any element that is open circuit.
- Inspect selector switch: If mechanical, test continuity in the selected heating mode. Replace the selector if contacts are not closing correctly.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and test multiple modes to confirm heating is restored.
