Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Broken fan blade, Open motor winding, Faulty fan relay or triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool.
- Access convection fan: Remove the rear interior panel of the oven cavity to expose the convection fan and shroud.
- Inspect fan blade: Check for broken or loose blades and for food debris obstructing rotation. Clean and tighten as needed.
- Test motor: From the rear of the oven, access the motor terminals. Disconnect one lead and measure resistance across the motor. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Check wiring and control: Inspect the wiring from the motor to the control board. If wiring and motor are good, the control board output may be faulty and require replacement.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing the motor or board, run a convection bake cycle to confirm proper fan operation and that F50 does not return.
