Oven door will not open after a self-clean cycle has finished and the oven has cooled.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Ensure the oven cavity has cooled to room temperature before attempting to release the lock.

• Wait and reset: Some locks release only after the temperature sensor reads safe. Leave the oven off for 30–60 minutes, then restore power and see if the lock releases.
• Manual release: Remove the top panel to access the lock assembly. Locate the manual release lever or cam and gently move it to the unlock position while supporting the door.
• Inspect lock mechanism: Check for bent parts, grease buildup, or broken plastic components. Replace the door lock assembly if damaged.
• Check thermostats: Test the high-limit thermostats in the lock circuit. A tripped or open thermostat can prevent the control from sending an unlock signal.
