Possible Causes
Stuck fan relay on control board, Shorted triac driving fan, Faulty temperature sensor reading high, Control board firmware fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before inspecting the control board.
- Allow full cooling: Confirm that the oven cavity and control area are at room temperature. Some models keep the fan running until a safe temperature is reached.
- Reset power: Turn the breaker off for 5 minutes, then back on. If the fan immediately starts with the oven off, suspect a control fault.
- Inspect control board: Remove the control panel and check the board for burned or stuck relays. Replace the main control board if a relay is welded closed.
- Sensor check: Test the temperature sensor; a sensor reading falsely high can cause the fan to run. Replace if out of specification.
