Possible Causes
Weak or partially failed bake element, Faulty temperature sensor calibration, Poor door seal causing heat loss, Incorrect oven calibration in control settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing elements or sensors.
- Check bake element: Inspect for small cracks or hot spots. Test resistance and compare to specifications. Replace if significantly higher than normal or if there are visible defects.
- Verify temperature sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and at a known elevated temperature (e.g., 100°C using boiling water if sensor can be safely removed). Replace if readings are out of range.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the door seal for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace the gasket if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Calibrate oven (if available): Some Asko models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Use an accurate oven thermometer to compare actual vs. set temperature and adjust according to the user manual.
