Possible Causes
Incorrect or incompatible temperature sensor installed, Loose sensor connector, Faulty EOC sensor input circuit, Damaged sensor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the sensor or control board.
- Confirm correct sensor: Verify that the installed oven temperature sensor matches the Avanti part number specified for your model.
- Inspect connections: Check the sensor connector at both the sensor and EOC ends for secure fit and clean contacts.
- Check resistance: Measure the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Avanti specifications (around 1050–1100 Ω at 70°F). Replace if out of range.
- Harness continuity: Test continuity of the sensor harness from the sensor to the EOC. Repair or replace if open.
- Replace EOC: If sensor and wiring are correct and E1 persists, replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
