Possible Causes
Open broil element, Failed broil relay on EOC, Loose broil wiring connections, Faulty selector switch (on manual‑control Avanti models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing elements or wiring.
- Visual check of broil element: Inspect the broil element at the top of the oven cavity for breaks or burn spots.
- Continuity test: Remove at least one wire from the broil element and test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace the element if open.
- Inspect wiring: Check the wires from the broil element back to the EOC or selector switch for burns or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control check: If the element and wiring are good, the broil relay on the EOC or the selector switch may be faulty. Replace the electronic oven control (EOC) or selector switch as appropriate for your Avanti model.
