Electronic control beeps, display shows F1 and oven will not start or cancels shortly after starting.

Safety first: Disconnect the oven from power at the breaker before removing any panels. Capacitors on the control board can hold a charge briefly after power is removed.

• Power reset: Turn the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes, then restore power and test. Sometimes a transient fault clears.
• Inspect control panel: Remove the control panel screws from the front or top trim (varies by Avanti model). Gently pull the panel forward to access the keypad ribbon cable.
• Clean and reseat ribbon: Disconnect the flat keypad ribbon from the electronic oven control (EOC). Inspect for corrosion or burnt spots. Clean the contacts with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a lint‑free swab, then firmly reseat.
• Check for moisture/grease: If the keypad area is greasy or damp, carefully clean the surface and allow it to dry completely before reassembly.
• Test keypad: With power restored, try each button. If F1 returns immediately or certain keys do not respond, the keypad or EOC is likely defective and should be replaced.
• Replace parts if needed: If cleaning and reseating do not help, replace the control panel/touchpad assembly first (most common). If the error persists with a new keypad, replace the electronic oven control (EOC).
