Possible Causes
Failed bake or broil relay on EOC, Burnt solder joints on control board, Overheated relay contacts, Internal EOC logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. The control board area can have exposed line voltage.
- Visual inspection: Remove the back panel behind the control area to access the EOC. Look for burnt spots, cracked solder joints, or melted relay housings.
- Check wiring: Verify that all high‑voltage wires to the bake and broil elements are firmly connected and not burnt.
- Functional test: With power restored briefly, start a bake cycle and listen for the relay click. If there is no click and F8 appears, the relay or EOC is likely faulty.
- Replace EOC: If there is visible damage or the relay does not operate, replace the electronic oven control (EOC). Transfer each wire one at a time from the old board to the new to avoid miswiring.
