Display shows LOC or a lock icon; oven controls do not respond and door may be locked.

Safety first: This is usually not a hardware failure. Do not attempt to force the door open.

• Disable control lock: On many Avanti ovens, press and hold the Lock or Stop/Clear button for 3–5 seconds until LOC disappears. Refer to the user manual for your specific model.
• Power reset: If LOC will not clear, turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and try again.
• Check door lock: If the door remains locked after LOC clears, inspect the door lock assembly and switch for mechanical binding or failure.
• Replace parts if needed: Replace the door lock assembly if it does not unlock when commanded and the control lock is off.
