How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing elements or wiring.
- Inspect bake element: Look at the lower element inside the oven for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks.
- Continuity test: Remove at least one wire from the bake element and test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace the element if open.
- Check wiring and thermostat: Remove the rear panel and inspect the wiring to the bake element and high-limit thermostat for burns or loose connections. Test the high-limit thermostat for continuity; replace if open.
- Control board check: If the element and wiring are good, the bake relay on the EOC may be faulty. Replace the electronic oven control (EOC) if it is not sending power to the bake circuit.
