Possible Causes

Failed internal cooling fan motor, Obstructed cooling air channels, Faulty fan triac or relay on control board, Loose wiring to cooling fan

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool fully. Sharp metal edges are present inside the cabinet; wear cut-resistant gloves.

  • Check for airflow: During normal operation, warm air should exit from the front ventilation slots above the door. If you never feel airflow, suspect a cooling fan issue.
  • Access the fan: Remove the oven from the cabinet if necessary. Take off the top cover to expose the cooling fan assembly. Inspect for dust buildup, seized bearings, or melted wiring.
  • Test the fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure coil resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If safe and you are competent, you can bench-test the fan with appropriate mains voltage using insulated leads; otherwise, replace based on resistance test.
  • Inspect wiring and connectors: Check the harness from the control module to the fan. Reseat connectors and look for heat damage at the board terminals.
  • Control board check: If the fan motor is good but never receives voltage when the oven is hot, the control module fan driver (triac/relay) may be defective. This typically requires board repair or replacement by a professional.
  • Reassemble and test: After replacing the fan or repairing wiring, reassemble the oven, restore power, and run a 180–200 °C bake cycle to confirm that E003 does not reappear and that cooling airflow is present.
