Oven display shows E006, oven may not start or may shut down unexpectedly

Safety: Always isolate the oven from mains before removing covers. Electronic boards contain live and high-voltage areas.

• Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for at least 10 minutes to fully discharge capacitors. Restore power and check if E006 clears. If it returns immediately, suspect a permanent board fault.
• Visual inspection: Remove the top/front cover to access the main control module. Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or darkened PCB areas. Any visible damage indicates the board should be replaced.
• Check supply voltage: Verify that the oven is receiving correct mains voltage and that the neutral and earth connections are secure. Unstable supply can trigger control errors.
• Connector check: Reseat all connectors on the control board, especially those for power input and low-voltage supplies. Loose connections can mimic board failure.
• Board replacement: If E006 persists and no external wiring fault is found, replace the control module with the exact Balay part number. Transfer any configuration jumpers as per service documentation.
