Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Worn motor bearings, Faulty fan capacitor (if fitted), Broken wiring to convection fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool. The fan blades can be sharp.
- Check fan operation: In a fan-assisted mode, you should hear the convection fan running. If silent, suspect a motor or supply issue.
- Access fan: Remove the oven's rear internal panel (inside the cavity) to expose the fan blade and nut. Check if the blade spins freely by hand. If stiff or noisy, the motor is likely failing.
- External access: From the rear of the oven cabinet, remove the cover to access the convection fan motor. Inspect wiring and any series capacitor.
- Test motor: Measure motor winding resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the motor assembly if defective.
- Capacitor check: If fitted, test the fan run capacitor with a capacitance meter. Replace if out of tolerance or bulging.
- Reassemble and test: After replacement, ensure the fan blade is correctly tightened and not rubbing the shroud. Run a fan mode to confirm E019 is cleared.
