Possible Causes
Defective meat probe sensor, Dirty or damaged probe socket, Broken wiring from socket to control board, Incorrect or non-original probe used
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring. The probe tip can be sharp.
- Check probe: Inspect the meat probe for cuts or kinks in the cable. Replace if damaged or if not an original Balay-compatible part.
- Clean socket: Clean the probe socket inside the oven with a dry cloth. Do not use water or aggressive cleaners.
- Resistance test: Measure the resistance of the probe at room temperature and compare with Balay specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Socket wiring: Access the rear of the socket from behind the cavity and check wiring continuity to the control board.
- Control input: If a known-good probe and wiring still cause E025, the control board's probe input circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
