Oven display and controls dead, no lights or response, but mains supply is present

Safety: Turn off the breaker and verify absence of voltage before opening the rear cover.

• Check outlet/circuit: Confirm the wall outlet or circuit is live by testing with another appliance.
• Inspect terminal block: Access the mains terminal block and ensure all connections are tight and not burnt.
• Internal fuse: Some Balay ovens have an internal fuse on the control board or near the mains entry. Test and replace with the exact type and rating if blown. Investigate why it blew (e.g. shorted component).
• Mains filter and PSU: Inspect the mains filter and the power supply section of the control board for damage. Replace the faulty component or the entire board as needed.
