Oven timer and clock work, but heating only starts when the timer is set in a certain way

Safety: No internal work is usually required; if accessing wiring, disconnect power.

• Check manual mode: On models with a mechanical timer, ensure the timer is set to the "hand" or continuous symbol, not to a finished time in the past.
• Electronic timer: For digital timers, cancel any active delayed start or automatic end programs. Set the clock correctly and select manual operation as per the user manual.
• Timer contacts: If heating only works when the timer is bypassed or jiggled, the internal timer contacts may be worn. Replace the timer module.
