Possible Causes
Loss of communication between display board and main control board, Damaged ribbon cable or harness between boards, Faulty user interface (UI) board, Faulty main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to reset electronics. Restore power and check if F07 clears.
- Access control panel: Remove the front control panel by undoing the mounting screws from inside the door frame or top cover. Carefully pull the panel forward.
- Check ribbon cable: Inspect the flat ribbon cable or harness between the display (UI) board and the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged or corroded.
- Clean contacts: If oxidized, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reinsert firmly.
- Board substitution: If the cable is intact and F07 persists, either the UI board or main control board is faulty. In most cases, start by replacing the user interface board. If the issue remains, replace the main control board as well.
