Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed power supply components (transformer, SMPS, capacitors), Short circuit in low‑voltage circuit, Surge damage from mains
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains. Capacitors on the board can retain charge; avoid touching components unnecessarily.
- Check external supply: Verify that the wall outlet or cooker connection is supplying correct voltage and that the oven’s main terminal block is not burnt or loose.
- Access control board: Remove the top or rear cover to access the main control board. Look for an onboard fuse; test it with a multimeter for continuity. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown, and investigate for shorts.
- Visual inspection: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors. If present, the board should be replaced.
- Replacement: Replace the main electronic control board with the correct Bauknecht spare. Transfer all connectors one by one to avoid mis‑wiring.
Note: Component‑level repair of SMPS circuits is not recommended for untrained persons due to shock risk.
