Possible Causes
Failed tangential cooling fan motor, Blocked or stiff fan impeller, Faulty fan relay or triac on control board, Loose wiring to cooling fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains and allow it to cool.
- Access cooling fan: Remove the top cover of the oven to expose the tangential cooling fan assembly.
- Check for obstruction: Inspect the fan blades for grease build‑up or foreign objects. Clean carefully with a brush and mild degreaser (avoid getting liquid into the motor).
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. It should move freely without grinding. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor assembly.
- Wiring check: Verify that the fan’s connectors are firmly attached and not heat‑damaged.
- Functional test: Restore power briefly and start a heating program while observing if the fan starts when expected. If not, and the motor has correct resistance, the control board’s fan driver may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
