Possible Causes

Burnt out convection fan motor, Seized fan bearings, Obstruction in fan blades, Faulty fan relay or wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.

  • Access fan: Remove the rear inner panel of the oven cavity to access the convection fan and blades.
  • Check for obstruction: Remove any food debris or foil pieces caught in the fan.
  • Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If stiff or noisy, the motor is likely failing and should be replaced.
  • Motor resistance: From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor terminals and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Replace motor: Remove the fan blade retaining nut, pull off the blade, and unbolt the motor from the rear. Fit the new Bauknecht convection fan motor and reassemble.
