Possible Causes

Blown internal thermal fuse, Loose connection at mains terminal block, Broken common feed wire to heating elements, Faulty main selector switch (on knob‑controlled models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before removing covers.

  • Check basic functions: Confirm that the oven light and fan operate. If they do, supply is present but heating circuit may be open.
  • Inspect terminal block: Access the rear terminal block and check for burnt or loose connections. Tighten screws and replace any melted parts.
  • Locate and test thermal fuse: Find the thermal fuse on top or rear of the cavity. Test for continuity; if open, replace with the same rating and investigate overheating causes.
  • Check selector switch (if fitted): On mechanical models, test the oven function selector switch for continuity between common and heater outputs in each mode. Replace the switch if contacts are open when they should be closed.
  • Check common feed wire: Trace the live feed from the terminal block through the safety devices to the elements. Repair any broken or burnt wires.
