Oven selector knob is stiff, hard to turn, or does not click into positions properly.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.

• Remove knob: Pull off the selector knob from the front.
• Access switch: Remove the front panel to expose the function selector switch.
• Inspect and clean: Check for grease or debris around the shaft. Clean with a dry cloth; avoid spraying cleaners directly into the switch.
• Check mounting: Ensure the switch is firmly mounted and not twisted.
• Replace switch: If the switch feels rough or does not index correctly, replace it with the correct Bauknecht function selector switch.
