Possible Causes
Worn thermostat contacts, Broken capillary sensor bulb, Capillary pulled out of cavity, Internal thermostat failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains before working on the thermostat.
- Inspect capillary: Locate the thermostat capillary tube and bulb inside the cavity. Ensure it is intact and correctly positioned.
- Continuity test: With the oven cold, test the thermostat contacts for continuity at different knob settings. If contacts do not open/close as expected, the thermostat is faulty.
- Replace thermostat: Remove the knob and front panel, unscrew the thermostat, and carefully withdraw the capillary from the cavity. Install the new Bauknecht thermostat, routing the capillary along the original path.
