Beko oven will not heat; display shows E01 shortly after turning on any cooking function.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the oven at the wall isolator and remove the plug or turn off the circuit breaker. Allow the oven to cool completely before working inside.
Steps to check the temperature sensor:
- Pull the oven out of the cabinet enough to access the rear panel (built-in models may require removing trim screws).
- Remove the rear metal cover to expose the oven cavity back and wiring.
- Locate the oven temperature sensor (NTC) – a thin metal probe entering the top rear of the oven cavity with two wires leading to a connector.
- Disconnect the sensor plug and measure resistance across the sensor with a multimeter set to ohms. At room temperature, most Beko NTC sensors read roughly 500–1100 Ω (check service data if available).
- If the meter shows OL (open circuit) or extremely high resistance, the sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
- Inspect the wiring harness from the sensor to the main PCB for cuts, burns, or pinched sections. Reseat the connectors on both the sensor and the PCB.
- Reassemble, restore power, and test. If E01 persists with a known-good sensor and wiring, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
Warning: Do not operate the oven with the rear cover removed. Always ensure all covers are refitted before testing.
