Possible Causes
Open-circuit safety thermostat on oven top, Tripped thermal cut-out due to previous overheat, Loose thermostat connectors, Failed safety thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the mains. Internal components may still be hot; wait until fully cooled.
Check the safety thermostat:
- Remove the oven from the cabinet enough to access the top panel.
- Remove the top cover to locate the safety thermostat (usually a small round or rectangular device with two terminals, mounted on the top of the oven cavity).
- Some Beko thermostats are manual-reset types with a small red button in the center. Press this button firmly to reset if present.
- With power still disconnected, test continuity across the thermostat terminals using a multimeter. A good thermostat should show continuity (near 0 Ω).
- If it is open and cannot be reset, replace the safety thermostat.
- Inspect cooling fan operation and ventilation grills for blockages that may have caused overheating.
- Reassemble, restore power, and test. If E03 remains, the main PCB may not be detecting the thermostat correctly and may need replacement.
Warning: Do not bypass or short the safety thermostat; this is a critical safety device.
