Possible Causes
Open-circuit grill element, Burnt grill element terminals, Loose wiring to grill element, Faulty grill relay on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power. Elements can retain heat; ensure they are cool.
Element inspection:
- Remove the oven from the cabinet if necessary to access the rear panel.
- Locate the grill element terminals at the top rear of the oven cavity.
- Inspect for signs of burning, cracking, or broken element ends.
- Disconnect the wires from the grill element and measure resistance across the element with a multimeter. A typical reading is between 15–40 Ω; OL (open) indicates a failed element.
- Check the wiring from the element to the main PCB for heat damage or loose connectors.
- Replace the grill element if open or visibly damaged.
- If the element and wiring are good, the grill relay or control board may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
Warning: Do not attempt to repair a cracked or broken element; always replace with a genuine Beko part.
