Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between display and main PCB, Corroded or oxidized connector contacts, Failed display (UI) board, Failed main control board communication circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify the oven is de-energized before removing the control panel.

Check connections:

  • Remove the control panel fascia by undoing the mounting screws from inside the door area or top trim.
  • Locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the display/touch panel to the main PCB.
  • Carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable, ensuring it is fully seated and not damaged.
  • Inspect the connectors for corrosion or bent pins; clean gently with contact cleaner if necessary.
  • Restore power and test. If E09 persists, either the UI board or main PCB may be faulty.
  • Replace the display/UI board first if the main board appears to power other functions correctly; otherwise, a technician should diagnose which board to replace.

Warning: Ribbon cables are delicate; do not pull on the cable itself—only on the connector tabs.
