Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power. Cooling fan components are near hot surfaces; allow cooling.
Check cooling fan and thermostat:
- Remove the top cover of the oven to access the cooling fan and any associated thermostat or thermal switch.
- Inspect the fan blades for obstruction (insulation, wiring) and check that the fan spins freely by hand.
- Test the cooling fan motor for continuity and insulation damage; replace if open or shorted.
- If a separate cooling thermostat is fitted, test it for correct operation (closed when hot, open when cool, depending on design) using a multimeter and a heat source (carefully).
- Inspect wiring and connectors between the fan, thermostat, and PCB.
- If hardware is good, the PCB relay controlling the fan may be stuck or failed and the board may need replacement.
Warning: Do not operate the oven with the top cover removed; hot air and live parts will be exposed.
