Possible Causes
Failed touch sensor glass panel, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Loose or damaged touch panel ribbon cable, Faulty UI controller on display board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the mains before removing the control panel.
Moisture and connection check:
- Wipe the front glass thoroughly and ensure it is dry. Moisture or cleaning chemicals can interfere with capacitive touch.
- Remove the control panel and inspect for signs of moisture, corrosion, or residue on the back of the glass and the touch PCB.
- Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the touch panel and the display/PCB.
- Allow the panel to dry completely if moisture is present before reassembly.
- If specific buttons consistently fail while others work, the touch panel itself is likely defective and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not spray cleaning fluid directly onto the control panel; spray onto a cloth first to avoid moisture ingress.
