Possible Causes

Heating element shorted to earth, Damaged wiring insulation touching chassis, Moisture inside elements or wiring, Faulty main PCB causing leakage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Isolate the oven and keep it off until the fault is found. Risk of electric shock and fire.

Isolation testing (technician level):

  • With power disconnected, visually inspect all heating elements (grill, fan, bottom) for cracks or burn-through.
  • Check wiring looms for melted insulation or points where they may rub against sharp metal edges.
  • Use a megohmmeter (insulation tester) between each element terminal and chassis earth. Low resistance (below manufacturer spec) indicates leakage and the element should be replaced.
  • Dry out the oven thoroughly if moisture ingress is suspected (e.g., after steam cleaning) before retesting.
  • If all elements and wiring test good, the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.

Warning: Insulation testing should be performed only by qualified personnel with appropriate equipment.
