Possible Causes
Cooling thermostat stuck in closed position, Shorted thermostat wiring, PCB logic fault keeping fan relay energized, Overheating around control area
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the top of the oven.
Check cooling thermostat:
- Remove the top cover to locate the cooling thermostat or thermal switch controlling the fan.
- With the oven cold and power disconnected, test continuity across the thermostat. It should be open when cold on most designs.
- If it remains closed when cold, replace the thermostat.
- Inspect wiring for shorts that could bypass the thermostat.
- If the thermostat is operating correctly, the PCB may be holding the fan relay on; a board replacement may be required.
Warning: Persistent overheating around the control panel may indicate blocked ventilation; ensure vents are clear.
