Possible Causes
Worn fan motor bearings, Loose fan blade on shaft, Debris caught in fan, Bent fan blade contacting shroud
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the fan.
Steps:
- Remove the rear panel inside the oven cavity to expose the fan.
- Inspect for loose screws, foil, or food debris around the fan blade.
- Check that the fan blade is tight on the motor shaft; tighten the retaining nut if loose.
- Spin the fan by hand; if it feels rough or noisy, the motor bearings are worn and the motor should be replaced.
- Replace a bent or damaged fan blade to prevent further noise and vibration.
Warning: Do not attempt to lubricate sealed fan motor bearings; this is a temporary fix at best and can be unsafe.
