Possible Causes
Failed touch control PCB, Damaged membrane keypad, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Liquid ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the oven from the mains before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. Sometimes the control board can reset and clear minor glitches.
- Inspect control fascia: Remove the front control panel (usually held by screws behind the knobs or door trim). Check for signs of moisture, grease, or corrosion on the touch PCB or keypad.
- Check ribbon cables: Ensure the flat ribbon cable from the user interface to the main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Look for burnt components: Examine the UI board for burnt tracks or components. If present, the board should be replaced.
- Replace UI module: If specific buttons never respond or the panel is physically damaged, replace the complete Belling control fascia or touch PCB assembly as supplied for your model.
