Possible Causes

Failed electronic clock module, Blown internal fuse on clock PCB, Loose power connector to timer, Faulty wiring between timer and main oven switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power before accessing the control panel.

  • Check supply to cooker: Verify that the cooker isolation switch is on and that other functions (e.g., hob) have power. If only the clock is dead, focus on the timer module.
  • Access timer module: Remove the front control panel to expose the clock/timer PCB. Check for a small glass fuse on the board; if blown, investigate for shorts before replacing with the same rating.
  • Inspect connectors: Ensure the live, neutral, and communication connectors are firmly seated on the timer module.
  • Check for burning: Look for burnt tracks or components on the timer PCB. If present, replace the entire clock module.
  • Set the time: After restoring power, set the clock according to the user manual. Many Belling ovens will not heat until the time is set.
