Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Failed lamp relay on PCB, Damaged wiring to lamp assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power at the mains before changing the lamp or removing covers.
- Replace bulb first: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a high-temperature oven lamp of the correct wattage and cap type specified by Belling.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for signs of burning or cracking around the lamp holder. If damaged, replace the holder.
- Check wiring: From the rear, inspect the wires to the lamp holder for heat damage or loose connections.
- PCB relay check: If the bulb and holder are good but the lamp never comes on (even when commanded), the lamp relay on the control PCB may have failed. PCB replacement may be required.
