How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the cooker from mains power before removing any panels.
- Check terminal block: Access the rear mains terminal block and ensure all connections are tight and not heat-damaged.
- Test safety thermostat / thermal fuse: Locate the overheat thermostat or thermal fuse (often on top of the oven cavity). With power off, test for continuity. Replace if open circuit.
- Test oven element: Disconnect the element terminals and measure resistance. Replace if open circuit or visibly damaged.
- Check mechanical thermostat: If fitted, test continuity across the thermostat when turned to a heating setting. Replace if it does not close.
