Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.

Possible Causes
Open bake element, Open broil element, Failed oven temperature sensor (NTC probe), Faulty main control board (PCB)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from power at the breaker before removing any panels or testing components. High voltages are present even when the oven is off.
- Check for obvious element damage: Open the oven door and visually inspect the lower bake element and upper broil element for blisters, cracks, or burn-through. If either is visibly damaged, it must be replaced.
- Test continuity of heating elements: Remove the rear panel (for built-in models, pull the oven out carefully). Disconnect the wires from the bake and broil elements. Use a multimeter on the ohms setting; a typical 240 V element should read between 15–40 Ω. If the meter reads OL (open), replace the failed element.
- Check the oven temperature sensor (NTC probe): Locate the sensor inside the cavity (usually at the upper rear). From the rear of the oven, disconnect its connector and measure resistance; at room temperature it should be around 1000–1100 Ω. If it is open, shorted, or far out of range, replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for burnt spade terminals or melted harnesses between the elements, sensor, and main control board. Repair or replace damaged wiring using high-temperature rated wire.
- Evaluate the main control board: If elements and sensor test good but no voltage is sent to the elements when a heating mode is selected, the relay on the main PCB may have failed. Replacement of the control board is typically required.
