• Test lock motor: With the connector unplugged, measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the lock assembly if defective.
• Inspect lock switches: Many lock units have micro-switches to report locked/unlocked status. Test each switch for proper open/closed operation with a multimeter while manually moving the latch.
• Check wiring harness: Look for broken or pinched wires between the lock and control board. Repair as needed.
