Bertazzoni
Temperature Calibration / Sensor Drift
Oven heats but temperature is inaccurate; food undercooked or overcooked compared to set temperature.

Possible Causes
Aging oven temperature sensor, Control calibration offset, Poor rack placement or airflow obstruction, Door seal heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before handling racks or the sensor. Disconnect power before testing electrical components.
- Verify with an oven thermometer: Place a quality thermometer in the center of the oven and preheat to a known temperature (e.g., 180°C / 350°F). Compare readings after stabilization.
- Adjust calibration: If the difference is consistent (e.g., always 15–20°C high or low), use the settings menu to adjust the temperature offset according to the Bertazzoni user manual.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the door seal for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace the gasket if heat is escaping.
- Test sensor if error is large or erratic: Measure the sensor resistance at room temperature. If out of spec or if temperature swings are large, replace the sensor.
