Possible Causes
Faulty function selector switch (on knob models), Failed main control board logic, Broken knob shaft or stripped selector, Open door switch (if interlocked)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or knobs.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and latching properly. Some models will not heat if the door switch is open.
- Test function selector switch: Remove the knob and front panel to access the selector. Use a multimeter to verify that the correct contacts close in each mode. Replace the selector if contacts are not switching.
- Inspect knob and shaft: Make sure the knob is not cracked and that it firmly engages the selector shaft.
- Control board check: If the selector and door switch are good but the control never energizes relays, the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
