Possible Causes
Loose or damaged ribbon cable between touch panel and PCB, moisture ingress into control panel, failed touch sensor board, control board communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Dry out moisture: If the error appeared after boiling or steam cleaning, leave the oven powered off with the door open for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate. Then restore power and test.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel or top trim. Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the touch board and ribbon cables.
- Inspect and reseat cables: Check the flat ribbon cable between the touch panel and main PCB for kinks, corrosion, or partial insertion. Disconnect and reconnect it firmly.
- Check for cracks or burns: Examine the touch PCB for cracks, burn marks, or damaged components. If present, the panel must be replaced.
- Replace faulty module: If reseating cables does not clear E06, replace the touch control panel / user interface board. If the new panel does not resolve the issue, the main control board may also be faulty.
