Possible Causes

Open-circuit convection heating element, burned element terminals, loose wiring at fan element, failed fan element relay on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing the rear panel or internal covers.

  • Access fan element: Remove the oven shelves and the rear interior panel inside the cavity to expose the circular fan element around the convection fan.
  • Visual inspection: Look for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the circular element. Check the terminals for discoloration or loose spade connectors.
  • Test the element: Disconnect at least one wire from the element and measure resistance with a multimeter. An open reading (OL) indicates a failed element.
  • Check wiring to PCB: If the element tests good, trace the wires back to the main control board and inspect for damage or loose connections.
  • Replace faulty parts: Replace a defective convection (fan) heating element. If wiring and element are good, suspect a faulty fan element relay on the main control board and replace the board.
