Possible Causes

Shorted heating element to chassis, damaged wiring insulation touching metal, moisture inside elements after cleaning, faulty mains filter or suppression capacitor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Disconnect the oven from power and only proceed if you are competent with electrical testing.

  • Visual inspection: Remove rear cover and inspect all wiring for cuts, melted insulation, or contact with sharp metal edges.
  • Check elements for earth leakage: With power off, disconnect wires from each element. Use a megohmmeter (insulation tester) if available to test between each element terminal and chassis. Any low resistance indicates a faulty element.
  • Dry out moisture: If the issue started after heavy cleaning, leave the oven door open for 24 hours to dry, or gently warm the oven at low temperature (if it can run without tripping) to evaporate moisture.
  • Inspect mains filter: Check the EMI filter module for burn marks or cracking. Replace if damaged.
  • Replace faulty part: Replace any heating element or wiring harness that shows leakage or shorting.
