Possible Causes

Open (broken) oven temperature sensor probe, Disconnected or damaged sensor harness, Failed sensor connector at EOC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing rear panels or control area.

Steps to try:

  • Locate sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the temperature sensor probe on the rear wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the probe forward to access the connector.
  • Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance across its terminals. At room temperature, expect ~1080–1100 Ω. If the meter reads OL (open) or extremely high resistance, the sensor is bad.
  • Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, trace the harness from the sensor to the EOC. Look for cuts, burns, or loose connectors. Reseat the connector at the control board.
  • Replace sensor if faulty: Install a new BlueStar-compatible oven temperature sensor probe, route the wires away from hot surfaces, and secure with original screws.

When to stop: If wiring and sensor are good but F3 persists, the EOC may have an internal sensor circuit fault and should be replaced by a technician.
