Control knobs are very stiff or difficult to turn

Possible Causes

Grease or dirt buildup behind knobs, Deformed knob shaft, Worn function or temperature selector, Heat damage to plastic components

Safety: Turn off power before removing control panel.

Steps:

Pull off the control knobs and clean the area around the shafts with a mild cleaner.
Inspect the knobs for cracks or deformation; replace if damaged.
If stiffness persists, access the selector switches and check for mechanical damage or melting; replace the affected selector.
