Possible Causes
NTC temperature sensor shorted internally, Sensor wiring shorted to chassis, Melted sensor cable insulation, Faulty main control board reading low resistance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the oven from power before any work.
Diagnostic steps:
- Access the rear of the oven and locate the NTC temperature sensor probe and its two-wire harness.
- Visually inspect the cable for melted insulation where it passes close to the grill or convection fan housing.
- Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure its resistance at room temperature with a multimeter. A reading close to 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor.
- If the sensor is shorted, replace the NTC temperature sensor.
- If the sensor measures normally, check the harness for continuity to ground (one probe on each wire, the other on the oven chassis). Any continuity indicates a short to chassis; repair or replace the harness.
- If sensor and harness are fine, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and should be tested or replaced by a professional.
