Possible Causes
NTC sensor drifted out of calibration, Poor contact at sensor connector, Faulty main control board temperature processing, Cooling fan not running causing real overtemperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the oven to cool completely and disconnect power.
Check sensor and cooling:
- Inspect the NTC temperature sensor and its connector at the rear of the oven. Reseat the connector to ensure good contact.
- Check that the cooling fan (tangential fan) above the oven cavity runs when the oven is heating. If it does not run, the control may detect overtemperature and trigger E2.
- Test the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare with Bomann specifications. If the value is far off, replace the sensor.
- Inspect the cooling fan for obstructions and spin the fan blades by hand (with power off). If stiff or seized, replace the cooling fan motor.
- If sensor and fan are OK, the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
