Possible Causes
Open convection (ring) heating element, Loose connection at fan element terminals, Broken wiring to convection element, Faulty convection element relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the oven from mains power.
Check the convection element:
- Remove the oven back panel. Locate the convection (ring) heating element around the convection fan housing.
- Inspect the terminals and connectors for heat damage or looseness.
- Disconnect the wires and measure resistance across the element. A very high or infinite reading indicates a failed element.
- Check the wiring harness from the element to the main control board for continuity and visible damage.
- If the element and wiring are good, the main control board may have a defective relay controlling the convection element.
